Digital Radiography Guide
CR computed
radiography
A computer interprets
impressions made by the x-ray beams on a specially prepared
imaging plate
DR direct
radiography
Charged Coupled Device – the
image is captured by an imaging component that is
focused on an imaging plate that illuminates when x-rays pass
through it.
Step 1
Step 1
The patient is placed on the
InnoVet table and is positioned for the particular exam. Using the advanced features of
the InnoVet APR always provides optimized exposures.
This step is the same for both CR and DR
radiography.
Step 2
An exposure is taken. The CR is removed from the InnoVet and
placed into the InnoVet CR System.
With CR, you retain all the flexibility you have with film
(without all the mess) and improve image quality.
Step 2
An exposure is taken and the
image is captured and displayed to the operator within
seconds.
